They cover how the NCRA supports ~120 independent stations (campus, community, Indigenous, online), the CRTC process under Bill C-11 (CanCon, Indigenous programming, CCD funds), and how Bill C-18 led Meta to block campus/community radio accounts—hurting outreach and fundraising. Despite broader industry headwinds, local trust in community radio is rising; a Quebec poll ranked it the most trusted info source. Upcoming priorities: shifting Gov’t ad spend back to Canadian outlets, the Community Radio Initiative, Ontario Bill C-33 awareness. |
