The MAPL!e Grant Program is still going! If you are part of the associations partaking in the program, you have until July 31st 2024 to take advantage of this discount!

Worth Checking Out
Calling out all BC musicians.
Creative BC is offering two new funding programs to support people from systematically excluded groups in B.C.’s music industry. The new Business Foundations offers grants of up to $10,000, covering 100% of expenses to support business operations. Aspiring musicians can also benefit from the Demo Recording Program, providing $2,000 to record one to two songs with the help of a local music producer. Deadline for both these programs is Feb 15, 2023. Visit www.creativebc.com/business-foundations and www.creativebc.com/demo-recording for more details.
Reminders
Make sure your metadata is correct!
Remember that by uploading WAV files, all the metadata stations can see is the one you input into the system and the information you provide for your upload.
If you want to double check that your metadata is correct, you can go to “Releases” and click on the pencil icon to make sure your tracks are in the right order, ect.
To check individual songs, go to “Songs” and click the pencil icon, there you can make sure the titles are correct as well as any additional information related to that specific track. These edits can be made even after payment.
Label account vs Independent account
Labels account allows you to manage not only your uploads but also other artists’ uploads, like your band. If you have signed up for an independent account but wish to manage different artists, email support@earshot-distro.ca and we can make that switch for you.
We share your uploads with our members weekly!
Every monday a music digest email goes out to all the music directors which includes all the uploads to !earshot distro from the week before, this is in efforts of creating an easy and digestible way for stations to browse through new releases. Make sure you have set up google alerts for yourself and you’ll be able to see if you were highlighted in the newsletter.

Don’t have time to upload your new and/or back catalogue to the system? We can do it for you!

- You will receive confirmation and estimated upload date (2-3 business days), and cost.
- You will be invoiced $5/song plus the cost of the release.
